What a treat! We got to take portraits of what could be the most photogenic family in existence with the awesome redwood forests of California as a backdrop! And to top it all off…we get to claim these wonderful people as our closest, dearest, and longest friends. Shawn and Amy have been there for us since before we were married. With thousands of miles and, at times, even oceans between us, our relationship through the years has only grown deeper. These two have done all the things true friends do – ask hard questions, encourage (and at times carry) us through very low lows, celebrate exciting highs, and continually cheer us along. They are such beautiful souls and we are so, so grateful for the blessing of their friendship.
It’s become our custom to vacation together and we have loads of great memories on adventures together as a foursome that has now grown to a party of eight! Our trip this year to the northern California Coastal Redwoods was extra special as we were able to celebrate Shawn and Amy’s 25th wedding anniversary! It is such a blessing to have known these two for all but 3 of those years, and to now know their two wonderful children. We are honored to be a part of the beautiful life they are building. Capturing their family is a treat – the joy and love they share is so easy to see!
